You should invest about 1/3 of your life sleeping because that is the only way to get the most out of the other 2/3.

Good sleep is not automatic. You have to set it up properly. This site will take all the known facts and put them in terms you can understand.

About 3% of the population experiencing some difficulty with sleep consult with a medical doctor. Only 3%. But what is more alarming is that many medical schools are reported to give instruction on sleep for 2 hours. That is not 2 credit hours - simply 120 minutes of learning in med school on sleep! So the doctors are left to get most of their education on their own. Much of that comes via the sales representatives of the drug companies.
